Landed at 5am, flew out at midnight and spent the hours in between wandering around Singapore, a city I’ve flown through many times but never visited before. My friend Devin met me off the plane & pointed me in a bunch of helpful directions. Despite being unaccustomed to muggy, oppressive heat almost thick enough to taste, I alternated between walking and hopping on and off the colour coded metro, scouting my way to Haw Par Villa, Little India, Marina Bay Sands & the Gardens by the Bay, Botanic gardens and a few random malls made attractive by excellent air condition and tall glasses of chilled Tiger beer..
