I agree. I think most of the Eastern European voting was done by 16 year old girls. I also liked the Spanish guy and the French entry. But apparently, it’s all political and Dima Bilan already has a big following in Europe.
see, the pirates were good, but the one song I truly liked from the bunch this year was the Israeli song, of all things! Those Russians were bad. I would’ve given it to the Greeks, the Albanians of the Azebaijanis for sheer gall of costumery.
The Israeli guy was by far the very best vocalist of the lot, and the song was absolutely the most interesting musically (to me, at least). But the pirates still get my vote for sheer panache. (Also, what is the likelihood that ISRAEL, pariah nation that it currently is, will win Eurovision?)
