Popped into the annual Wings over Illawarra airshow today at Albion Park airfield. I used to fly out of there to Melbourne before some pinchpenny airline accountant canned the option. It cost more than flying out of Sydney, but the 36-seater planes and the accompanying experience were pure Casablanca every time.
I’m researching for a story partially set in the restoration hangar so I took the opportunity for a good snoop round today.

I’m a bit jealous over you going to this Air Show as I really enjoy them.
who doesn’t dig antique planes!
I’m a bit spoiled as I’m about 15 minutes drive from the RAAF Museum at Point Cook.
I just realised that this weekend is the big airshow at Avalon.
I’ll bet it’s bigger than this un
Yes, it will be but I’m wanting to head to airshows that I haven’t been to before as well.
I forgot to saw that this CAC CA-13 Boomerang icon was made from one of my photos.
