I has new computer!

Yep, got me one of those 24 inch imacs complete with utterly legitimate software! (cough cough) The screen is so big that I feel like I’m the captain of the Enterprise every time the starfield wallpaper kicks in. Woah!
To celebrate, I’ve begun tackling the backlog of graphic design projects I’ve been avoiding since my shithouse old PC went wiggy a few months back and became more irritating than it was worth to use. For a start, it was refusing to acknowledge the letters G and H, which made typing a real pain in the arse.
Anyhow, here is my first achievement, the cover of Robert Hood’s forthcoming collection from Altair. You can pre-order it from the Altair site if you want to. The book will be available in October.
Meanwhile, Rob is in Melbourne on a secret mission for Black magazine. Here’s a  hint: it involves the king of the zombie makers himself, George Romero.

  1. Nice!
If you want any advice on software etc, or have any trouble, drop us a line, for I am wise in the ways of Macintoshes.

For starters, consider grabbing Skitch, its a really useful little thing for anyone that works with graphics.

    • Ta Dave. Actually, I’m quite familiar with Macs as I use one at work. Its having an up to date machine with the software I need on it at home I’m unaccustomed to. I’ve been struggling on for ages cos I was too cheap to cough up the cash. But the prices have come so far down now.

  2. Letters G and H are quite over-rated :-). Without them we would have the magic of Eorge Romero and Robert Ood … Nice cover too. Any chance you extending those tentacles and strangling my housemate’s mother who is STILL visiting with us? I could deal with the noises in the early morning, the using of all the milk, the comments about my weight, but when she started in on Dr Who tonight, that was the end!!!
