Earlier this week my fellow Clarion South classmate Alinta Thornton lost her battle with cancer. She died at home with her partner Julian and close friends by her side. Alinta’s funeral will be held tomorrow, 11.30 am, at the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park and Chapel, Military Road, Matraville, Sydney. The Service will be held in the West Chapel.
This is the best photograph I ever took of her.

Too young, and too soon.
Ah Christ, no… I saw her post recently saying that she’d ceased treatment, but I never imagined it would happen so quickly. Fucking cancer. π
Heartbreaking.
My condolences.
I’m sorry for your loss, Cat, and that of all Alinta’s friends and family. I found her writing about her illness so very moving and powerful.
It’s a lovely picture.

Fuck cancer.
So sorry to hear this, Cat. Alinta wasn’t a friend of mine, just a nodding acquaintance, but I know she leaves many frieds behind, and my sympathies go out to them all.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Cat, and for that of Alinta’s friends and family. xxx
