The IPCC’s top climate scientists have released a report warning time is running out for humanity. The world is heating faster than we feared. If we don’t make substantial changes, such as ditching fossil fuel dependance across the 5 years, we will pass irreversible tipping points that will lead to drastic changes in ecosystems with devastating effects for all life on this Earth. To quote Christiana Figueres: “We are going to have to pull out, from deep within ourselves, extraordinary strength and endurance now. We have to go far beyond what we think we can achieve, at speed.”

Gunbower
Spent a week camping in Gunbower National Park, Victoria, with a group of writerly types. OK, by camping I actually mean glamping in a well tricked out hired camper van, but that’s a pretty good effort for a city slicker like me. Big thanks to the fabulous Steve Gleeson for making it happen. Photos here.
Canberra Womens’ March 4 Justice
Stood on the crowded the lawns of Parliament House yesterday with enthusiastic women and men – tens of thousands across Australia – calling for an end to gendered violence and misogynist privilege. Check out my photos here.
