AGOG NEWS

Agog! Press plans three publications during 2007: Two further anthologies of Daikaiju stories edited by Robert Hood (because you can never have too many) and a third project which is a secret at the moment, but I can confirm that it will not be edited by me.

I plan to spend 2007 writing stories and upgrading my computer graphics skills.

  1. OOooohhhhhhhh, any guidelines forthcoming, or does Captain R already have Son of Daikaiju and Daikaju: Destroy All Monsters already sewn up?

    • Hi Lee, these anthologies have been waiting in the wings since daikaiju #1. The stories have been selected already — there were so many good ones that the original Daikaiju would have been a whopper indeed if he’d included all the stories in one volume.

      • I remember Rob saying that that really wacked-out story from me and Rupert could’ve made it into the first volume if we’d had time to do a revised version. Did that mean we’ve got a shot at one of the later volumes”, or should I go back to taking that as a polite brush-off? 🙂

          • …Yep, the 500-foot-tall surrealist Viagra monster.

Which really does need another draft, but I’ve got an idea on how to do it now. All I need is time… and some confidence that some preferably-decent-paying market would ever even think about taking it.

(As Yoko said about John’s film “Self-Portrait”, a slow-motion shot of his knob: “The critics wouldn’t touch it…”)

        • you’ll have to ask the man himself. I’m just the graphic designer on these ones.
