Congratulations to Aussie spec fic’s favourite son, Shaun Tan, whose delightful short film The Lost Thing has been nominated for an Academy Award. Full list of nominated works here. My Spidey sense tells me he’s gonna win.

It’s great news. And a great little film. I stumbled across the DVD in JB Hi Fi in December, having not heard of it before, and bought it immediately.
