Ahhh, I love rainbow lorikeets, reminds me of growing up in Narrabeen, and is the reason I plant grevillias in my garden whenever I move.
Obligatory health warning from your friendly veterinarian: Please wash hands after touching lorikeets and before eating; never kiss your pet budgie; psittacosis is like a really bad flu that lasts for months or kills you if you are immunosuppressed. kthxbai

Someone on tumblr described the Eastern rosella as “a bird made out of Skittles”.

These are Rainbow Lorikets.
Eastern rosellas are smaller and quieter.

Lories are lovely, if noisy, birds. Did they get on your head? that’s a weird feeling.
The flock of 50 or so at Mum and Dad’s place are so tame, they will walk all over you. Especially if you have food.

thanks for the tip. Back when I had budgies as a kid, I used to kiss them all the time. Clinically speaking, I should probably be dead by now...
