Rob and I actually went to a party last night — seems like a long time since we’ve ventured into the world on a Saturday night, especially a cold and rainy one. It was Keith and Nicola’s double Gemini birthday bash at the Velvet lounge upstairs at the Bank Hotel, Newtown. I scored a couple of amazingly tasty lychee champagne cocktails. YUM!

Margo and Steven were there too but cleared off at the point when the music was cranked up so loud that we had to continue our conversations in sign language.

On the way home passing Newtown station we saw three guys busking. One of them turned out to be Ben, ex flatmate and longtime special friend of mine who I haven’t seen in a couple of years.

So I caught up with the gossip about some people I never see any more. Sometimes, very rarely, I have moments where I miss living in Sydney.
