Loved it, loved it, loved it! Yes they took liberties with Conan Doyle’s original material, but they were pleasing liberties and the whole experience was true to form. Highly recommended.

Really looking forward to seeing this. I suspect RDJr will bring the right combination of bright-eyed energy when on the case plus drugged-out boredom when off. Also the physicality — Holmes was a stand-up guy in a fight, according to the ACD books. With a solid background in “baritsu”, which was Doyle’s mis-read of “Bartitsu”, which was actually a kind of ju-jitsu brought to England by an engineer named William Bartholomew who spent time in Japan.

So. Yes. Very much looking forward to this.
