Oh dear, end of year uselessness seems to have kicked in and try as I might, I just can’t seem to shake it. I have one and a half more days of day job, then a bunch of weeks off in which I need to spew forth 50,000 words of quality novel. But for the past week I’ve not managed anything much other than baking, cleaning, reading, watching stuff and hangin’ with my homies. Writing seems about as likely to take place as snowboarding.
We saw Avatar yesterday and totally loved it. Other people are reviewing it far better than I ever could so I’ll just say that yes, it deserves its hype.

End of year malaise has settled here quite happily. I need to edit the collection but cannot get my arse off the couch and away from the DVDs. I’ll get to it eventually, but my brain needs to recover from the last 12 months. Embrace the malaise, love.

yeah, I know you're right. But I hate wasting time.

There must be some sort of cosmic balance thing going here. You usually write ten times as fast as me — you had to grind to a complete halt for me to get most of a chapter done this past week!

Yeah, embrace the lazitude. You’ll be back with a vengeance after new year. Resting is not wasting time!
I saw Avatar yesterday (and blogged a big old review today). I did enjoy it. Have a read of my review and see if you agree with me. Perhaps I’m being mean?

Yeah you're being mean. But that's OK. Here's my so far favourite review of the movie: http://www.rifters.com/crawl/?p=959
