My colleague Peter is a travel writer, a profession which sends him all over the world, however this fabulous item was purchased from an Asian emporium in downtown Wollongong:

Well if you DO need to poke your eyes out (or someone else’s eyes, for that matter) you do want to be hygienic about it. These EYES brand skewers are sterilized for your protection!
