Dinner with friends at Cinta Ria last night – yum!
Dylan Moran live at the State Theatre – hysterical!
Not so amusing was returning to our car to find it had been broken into and our ipods stolen from the glove compartment. Yes, I do realise we were idiots for leaving valuable items in the car. The unfortunate thing is that we rarely do. Rob is very anally retentive about precautionary measures & I only brought my poddy along at the last minute, thinking a podcast might be good to listen to on the journey home.
So it looks like we’ll both be ipodless for awhile as I’m only working 3 days a week and trying to scratch up the cash for a new laptop. Our stove is on the way out too but who gives a toss about kitchen appliances…
When Rob reported the incident, the cop asked him if there was any sensitive Government material on the ipods. ‘Only an interview with George Romero,’ he said, ‘so I guess it depends if you think a zombie apocalypse is likely’
the cop laughed.

That sucks. The End of Times obviously brings out the worst in people.

I'm picturing the looks of horror on their faces when the thieves discover my ipod contains nothing much besides Duran Duran and sci fi podcasts. And as for Rob's... I hope they like Hawkwind...

Worst bit though is when you do replace them and you have to reupload all the stuff again.
Though not having them right now probably sucks more. Sorry to hear

I like a cop with a sense of humour.
When my wallet got stolen once I had to make a police report to get certain things replaced, said things all had serial numbers that had to be quoted to get replaced, etc. I kept these numbers in a Word document on my computer titled “Near useless things that I will never remember”. It made it very handy to print out and take to the cop shop with me, … and the cop tried oh so hard not to snigger when he saw the document title.

Oh ugh! That sucks!
My boyfriend had his car broken into TWICE while it was parked in his assigned spot outside his old apartment. First time he lost his iPod and associated wires. Second time, they took the car registration. *sigh*

They actually asked about sensitive government material? That’s pretty funny.
The villain-types deserve all the Hawkwind Rob has dumped on them.

What a bugger. My other half lost his iPod late last year, but not by sneaky thieving. It was in his lap on a flight from Perth to Sydney and the stewardess decided to pour hot water onto it instead of into the cup of noodles he had ordered. Not a good situation! At least Virgin paid for a new iPod for him. And I’ve always thought it was a good thing it was there. Never heard of an iPod doubling as a box protector before.

Ha! Yeah, that's kind of like the Bible in the breast pocket stopping the gunslinger's bullet...
