I haven’t written a word of fiction in what seems like ages. Truth is, ever since we started watching Dexter, I’ve lost interest in all other forms of artistic expression, be they my own or some other author or artist’s. Man, does that show ever grab you by the short & curlies!

I loved season 1. Have yet to watch season 2. Maybe that’s my treat to myself when I finish this next novel.

I’m just watching whatever is on TV now, but mannnn! James thought it sounded lame….until one night he watched it. Now it’s a part of the routine and we watch it together every Monday night.
I loves it! He’s a good guy…but a bad guy….but a good bad guy…!

All three seasons are awesome, but the second is definitely my favourite! Now we’re just hanging out for season 4.

We adored season one, we loved season two, we were into season three and then got sidetracked by 4 entire seasons of BSG. We will return to it. Eventually. As soon as we finish True Blood.
And I agree, Dexter is a monster and season two proves it once and for all.
I don't know if you've read the books at all, but we couldn't watch Dexter without shouting "clump" every time Doakes entered the room. You have to read book two to understand.

I watched s2 in about 3 sessions. Couldn’t stop! He may be a monster, but he’s an evolving monster. And less of a monster than L.

hell yeah! I love the scene in the kitchen when Deb says to Dexter 'who's the skank?' I dig Deb. She's awesome.

I’m reading my way through the books. I read Darkly dreaming Dexter before I watched any of the TV show and preferred the books. Went looking for book 2 I could only find it as an omnibus with the first 3 books. I’m loving book 2 so far.

I loved the first two but thought book three was awful. Have bought book four (in a neat promo evidence bag) and am hoping for the best...

You didn’t struggle with the ever-so-thickly laden emotionally expository narration? As the episodes wore on, with every new “I don’t feel like normal people”, a little part of me died.
