a day in the life

Unwrote about five thousand words today, sorted out some plotting and added a snogging scene (just for you cassiphone !) So I’m back to 155,000 words again but I’m gonna be hitting 160k before the fat lady sings.

Found this intriguing note I wrote myself a few weeks back: why are the dungeons unattended and should I loose the monkey?

Received two short story rejections and a critique of my not-quite-cutting-the-mustard novella, Got a haircut and am still battling the flea plague that has swamped our abode in this accursed heat.

Not only shouldn’t you lose the monkey, but you should add more monkeys. Or get the monkeys to guard the dungeons. See, I can think of writerly-type solutions.
