major achievement of the day = convincing Smersh to sleep on a bit of newspaper rather than on my novel notes
highlight of the day = Rob bought me a donut
treadmill = yeah, but only 20 minutes cos its so fucking HOT!

At least you didn’t eat two tubes of Pringles, drink a 3 litre bottle of Coke, surf for web porn and yell at kids walking on your front lawn. Of course it’s progress, just incremental.

I keep a bit of newspaper around to lure Frankus off my books: it’s referred to as the “Frankie hankie”. And he loooooves it, although not as much as Tim loves the orange paper bag from the chemist, which is clearly his soulmate.

Trixie is flat out in the bathroom asleep on the tiles.
She's never slept on paper (unlike every other cat I've had). She prefers the exact spot I put my feet when I get off the bed. Or the middle of the hall, so we trip over her in the dark.

But I did have a freshly baked ricotta berry muffin this morning. Mmm. And I’m drinking a glass of Talisker right now. In fact I think I’ll blog that.
