score!
Scored a mention from Rich Horton in his round up review of Andromeda Spaceways:
I thought this a very good year for the magazine, as I liked the best stories here quite a bit.
Of the short stories, I quite enjoyed Dirk Flinthart’s "This is Not My Story" (#37), about a boy’s friendship with a neighbor girl, and the wild stories they made up, and the games they played set in the worlds of those stories — and the possibility that those stories were, somehow, true. Also, from #36, Rachel Swirsky’s "The Amazing Story of Dominic Lazar", a very funny sendup of a whole variety of pulp conventions; and Cat Sparks’s "Piper", a wrenching look at the effect on a couple of a technology for creating artificial memories. And, from #34, "The Flying Woman" by R. J. Astruc, in which a djinn living in a London apartment house deals with such mundane problems as leaky pipes and banshees. Simon Petrie’s "Six Subliminals" (#33) is a very amusing set of six very brief pieces.
Other fine stories came from Brian Dolton, Ian Nichols, M. P. Ericson, Geoffrey Maloney, Aliette de Bodard, Maggie Della Rocca, and Lyn Battersby.
Congrats to the other writers who scored mentions too and, of course, the editors.
