It’s hot today. Blisteringly hot. Global warming hot. Skin cancer hot. The interior of my house is blissfully cool. Whatever insulation issues it has that make it cold in winter also manage to trap the chill inside on days like this. I’m eating-gluten-and-lactose-free chocolate cake, which tastes a whole lot better than it sounds, and working on a short story entitled ‘Beautiful’.
