big crocs rock!

I’ve got a real thing for big croc/alligator/snake movies. They’re all the same: group of disparate characters are thrown together in some inhospitable patch of natural terrain to be menaced relentlessly by an oversized beast. Recent Aussie flick Rogue is true to formula, but its a good un. The croc is big and the tourists are whiny. Ugliness ensues.

If you’re after something of a similar flavour but a bit more imaginative, I recommend Boa vs Python. A giant python is on the loose so the authorities do the only logical thing — send another giant snake with bionic implants out to fight it.
