wot a ripper!
Recently my parents asked my sister and I to clean out all the crap we left behind when we moved out of home 25 + years ago. Some gems have been uncovered in the attic during the process including Ripper 76 – the second album I ever owned. Thge first album I ever owned was The Best of Abba. OK, so I had the Jungle Book and Puffenstuff on LP as well but they don’t count because they were kiddy records. Ripper 76 was one I bought for myself with my pocket money — either that or I demanded it for my 11th birthday. I can’t recall.
The 70s were a classy decade, weren’t they? I mean, who wouldn’t prefer to read a track list off a woman’s arse?
And now I see that this record was what kick started my Roxy Music thing. Love is the drug. Oh yeah.

Wow. Could we see the other side of the record, to see the song list? Wow, that takes me back, too. I'm guessing...
I Feel Love, Love Hurts, Convoy, Fooled Around and Fell in Love, Right Back Where We Started From, You Should Be Dancing, not sure what else.

I’d prefer to read *all* my track lists off a woman’s arse, but current album design is sadly lacking in that department.

This was pre-Photoshop, so someone had to write the songlist on that poor girl’s arse. I wonder who she was? Through the power of the internet, we could probably find out…
My first album was Suzi Quatro. No arses, just lots of leather.

You jogged my memory with that album… I thought I recalled having something similar in the record collection at home back in the day. And this was it:

Did K-Tel have some sort of pant-ripping theme in the 70s, or what?

I think we have Ripper ’79. Girl’s backside clad in denim (jeans or shorts? can’t remember).
Umm, my first album I bought for myself was(umm this is embarrasing) Redgum’s Caught in the act
