day one
word count = 4,000 (1k less than hoped for)
other achievements = a visit to the massage therapist, a visit to the supermarket, 3 loads of washing & the ironing of some tea towels. Yeah, OK, so the ironing thing was a writing procrastination attempt. Who the fuck irons tea towels these days? I started ironing underpants as well but managed to stop myself…

Ironing tea towels is a bit odd, but undies? That’s crazy talk! I’m glad you managed to stop yourself.

I iron when forced, but I also have ironed tablecloths and sheets. I also see ironing as emotional therapy when at the frayed end of a rope.
