frogmen vs radioactive octopus
So anyway, its Friday night and I’m bushed (no, this is not an APEC pun). I don’t normally work Fridays but I did today and its cold and wet, so when I get home I run a hot bath, grab a glass of Oyster Bay, and then I remember the present
brought me back from the US last week. Frogmen vs Radioactive Octopus is just what it sounds like: “12 different battle-trained divers” wrapped in plastic, small parts, not suitable for children under 3. Well, seeing as I turn 42 next Tuesday, I ripped off the plastic coating and tipped them all into the bath with me, frogmen & radioactive octopus alike. Yes, the octopus glows in the dark AND what a bonus — the octopus squeaks! No, the hairy legs in this photo do not belong to me.

You’re not growing up anytime soon, eh?
And happy birthday for next week, in the good chance I’ll forget then.

Dammit! I have a large bathtub. I have hairy legs. WHERE ARE MY FROGMEN AND MY RADIOACTIVE OCTOPUS?
Those toys are too good for you, Cat Sparks. I’m going to ask George Bush to invade Wollongong and liberate them at once. No reason he shouldn’t be able to manage something like that while he’s down here, after all. And it’s ages since he liberated anything… I bet he’ll jump at the opportunity!

Nah, he'd just futz it up. He'd end up invading Wooloomooloo rather than Wollongong and walk off with Rob's Mothra dolls instead of the radioactive octopus...

Why not? I’d think that the radioactivity would make the children glow in the dark, and easier to find at night if they got lost. It’s win-win.

I think I needs me a radioactive octopus, especially considering the strange vivarium job ahead of me.

Tentacles
Not enough detergent in the water for that realistic tidal agitation effect. More froth and bubble!!!! You guys get the best-est presents.
Many Happy Returns for Tuesday!
Hugs,
Nick
