The challenge: final score

Well folks, I made it, ten thousand, six hundred and something words all up. What I didn’t get done is anything else much. The house is a mess, I ate too much, drank too much, got no exercise & did not go & visit Rob’s mum today like I was supposed to do. I only left the house at all when Lourdes rocked up and dragged me off to Leisure Coast to buy some fruit and veg. That was the only time I brushed my hair all weekend.

I remember the days when 500 words in a day seemed like a lot! I guess now that I’ve cracked the sound barrier with wordage, so to speak, there can be no turning back. Next time I try for another 10k words or more in one big slab, I’ll be scheduling a couple of walks into the process. Need to build in a bit of thinking time & get the blood circulating. It was such a lovely weekend too. All that pretty sunshine outside and there was me indoors soaking up that ibook tan.
