Know what the highlight of last weekend’s con was for me? Some dude I don’t know tapped me on the shoulder during the Daikaiju2 room party and said “Hey Cat, I didn’t know you were an illustrator too! I thought you were just a writer!” He then babbled on about my artwork but I wasn’t listening because I couldn’t get over the fact that it had finally happened… someone actually perceived me as being primarily a writer who dabbles in other things. I didn’t kiss him but I should have. I think I responded by topping up his drink.
